Pariet (Rabeprazole)

Pariet can
have two dosages and tablet colors: 10 mg – pink, 20 mg – light yellow. A 10 mg
package contains 7, 28, or 30 tablets in blisters. If you need 20 mg tablets,
then you can also find them in blisters of 7, 28 and 30 pieces. Each tablet
contains 10 or 20 mg of rabeprazole sodium, which goes here as the most active
element. But there are also other components inside the pill: titanium dioxide,
magnesium oxide, magnesium stearate, ethylcellulose, mannitol, and others. This
drug does not contain gluten and lactose in its composition.

Pariet
helps to reduce the acid level in your stomach, which allows food to move
better along the intestines. Such pills are part of a group of drugs called
proton pump inhibitors. They help to relieve abdominal pain that is associated
with abnormal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Pariet also helps in
the treatment of « reflux », that is, with gastroesophageal reflux
disease. This is when the food inside the stomach combines with acid and goes
back to the esophagus. The symptom of this is heartburn.

Pariet also
helps to treat ulcers (it can be a stomach ulcer or the location of it is in
the duodenum). This disease occurs due to special bacteria called Helicobacter
pylori. Pariet can act together with an antibiotic to quickly and efficiently
remove these harmful bacteria from your body. The most effective antibiotic, in
this case, is amoxicillin but clarithromycin can also be used. If there are
these bacteria, then a person may have chronic gastritis, that is, he feels discomfort
in the stomach, vomiting or nausea. Soaring and antibiotics will help to
improve the health of your stomach and completely cure the disease.

There are
several contraindications when the patient can not use this drug so as not to
harm his body:

• If he has a sensitivity to such
  a component as rabeprazole sodium or any other component of the tablet.

• The appearance of a rash,
  swelling of the face, itching and other signs of an allergic reaction to
  the medicine.

• Tablets should not be taken if
  their packaging is deformed or torn.

• Intolerance to such components
  as lansoprazole, or other proton pump inhibitors: pantoprazole or
  omeprazole.

Many other contraindications
prohibit taking Pariet. Be sure to consult your doctor before starting this
drug. Also, check the dosage – an adult can take from 10 to 40 mg of this
medicament, and the treatment of bacteria Helicobacter pylori with antibiotics
can use only 20 mg per day for 7 days.
